2. Introduction

The App is a cognitive assessment training application designed to help users practice standardized cognitive tests used in military and armed forces selection processes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

The App is an independent, unofficial preparation tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reviewed by any government, military, or public authority.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Device Identifier

We generate a random, anonymous identifier (UUID) for each device. This identifier is used solely to associate usage data with your device and contains no personally identifiable information. It is stored locally on your device:

  • Android: in encrypted local app storage (EncryptedSharedPreferences, backed by the Android Keystore).
  • iOS: in the Apple Keychain.

3.2 Usage Analytics

We collect anonymous usage data through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Firestore to understand how the App is used and to improve the user experience. This includes:

  • App open events — when you open the App and your app version
  • Module interactions — which test modules you view and how many test sessions you start
  • Test completion data — whether a test was completed and the accuracy score achieved
  • Tab navigation — which sections of the App you visit (History, Progress)
  • Paywall interactions — how many times the upgrade screen is viewed
  • Subscription status — whether you are a free or Pro user, and how many free credits remain

3.3 Purchase Information

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by the platform’s payment system — Google Play Billing on Android, or the Apple App Store on iOS. We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase status. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details, credit card information, Google account, or Apple ID.

3.4 Test Results

All test results (scores, reaction times, round breakdowns) are stored locally on your device — in a local database (Room on Android, Core Data on iOS). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

4. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Your name, email address, or any contact information
  • Your location or GPS data
  • Photos, contacts, or any content from your device
  • Health or biometric data
  • Advertising identifiers (we do not serve ads)

The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not operate any user account system.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data exclusively to:

  • Improve the App — understand which modules are most used and identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor performance — detect technical issues and ensure the App functions correctly
  • Manage subscriptions — verify Pro purchase status and manage free credit allocation
  • Analyze engagement — understand user retention and test completion patterns

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for any purpose.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Service Purpose Privacy Policy
Firebase Analytics (Google) Anonymous usage analytics Google Privacy Policy
Firebase Firestore (Google) Anonymous usage data storage Google Privacy Policy
RevenueCat Subscription and purchase management RevenueCat Privacy Policy
Google Play Billing (Android) Payment processing Google Privacy Policy
Apple App Store (iOS) Payment processing Apple Privacy Policy

These services may collect technical data such as device type, operating system version, and app version. No personally identifiable information is shared with these services.

7. Data Retention

  • Local data (test results, preferences): stored on your device until you delete the App or manually clear data from the App’s Settings screen.
  • Anonymous usage data (Firestore): retained for up to 24 months for analytics purposes. Since no personal information is attached, this data cannot be linked to your identity.
  • Purchase records: managed by Google, Apple, and RevenueCat according to their respective retention policies.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

  • The device identifier is stored in encrypted local storage — EncryptedSharedPreferences backed by the Android Keystore on Android, and the Apple Keychain with kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlock protection on iOS.
  • All data transmitted to Firebase and RevenueCat uses industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption.
  • No personally identifiable information is collected or stored.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 13 and over (16 and over in jurisdictions where that is the applicable minimum age). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us at can.devecioglu@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.

10. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information and the App has no user accounts, there is typically no personal data to access, modify, or delete. However:

  • You can delete all local test data from the App’s Settings screen.
  • You can uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data, including the device identifier.
  • You can request deletion of the anonymous usage data associated with your device identifier by emailing can.devecioglu@gmail.com. Requests are processed within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, the CCPA, or similar laws. You can exercise these rights using the contact address below.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
